Kevin Reinhardt
Born in 1990 in Los Angeles, CA. Works in Los Angeles, CA.
Kevin Reinhardt’s tremendous visual lexicon engages metaphors, repartees, and lineages. The artist’s background in architecture joins an incisive methodology with allegorical and fantastical connections. Reinhardt deploys strong colors, geometric patterns, and recognizable imagery. With limited representation and a modest color palette in his ongoing study of slatted window blinds, the artist’s disciplined works leave viewers wondering about narrative possibilities. His capacious paintings powerfully reconceptualize minimalist compositions.
Reinhardt received his B.Arch at USC in 2014, and has held solo exhibitions at Marc Selwyn Fine Art, LA, Half Gallery, NY, and Grice Bench, LA.
